This entire scandal is ridiculous in comparison to what other criminals are getting away with. The punishment exceeds the crime. The only person I can think of who is getting shafted even worse is Reality Winner.
I don't know who Reality Winner is. It saddens me that Successful rich people who earned their wealth are not given a legal option to help others along with their own kids. Basically the Judge said, your kids have no path to USC even if you had donated millions to the College so that many other students could have gotten in who otherwise could not afford to get in. Unless one wants to argue that USC is at capacity, even that argument is flawed because it is likely that there are several hundred or even thousand students who got in and are over their heads financially. Fitting two girls in and making the financial road much much easier for many other students, how is that a bad thing?
