My 8 year Los Angeles Emmy Odyssey.
Originally filmed in Santa Monica College's Ampitheater in 1992, the Opera Faust, performed in English with a full, live orchestra.
Conducted by Lida Beasley.
Cast and Crew of Hundreds.
I literally moved my entire home video editing studio to the College so we would have additional video recording machines for the live event.
Directed by Sue Ann Pinner.
Shot and Edited in 1992 in my nascent home video editing studio.
All videotapes were then stored for 7 years because I had a feeling the video still had potential to be something more.
Re-edited in 1999 in my Updated Home Based Videotape Studio.
Aired on LA 36.
Won LA 36's first Los Angeles Emmy in year 2000.
Special thanks to Doug Armstrong of Touring Video for all the live switching expertise and video camera gear.
Special thanks to David Riddle for live sound recording.
Special thanks to my folks for far too many reasons to explain.
I value creative endeavors and take each experience seriously, kind of like Jerry Seinfeld's mechanic, but more intense.
