Daily PUMA Column - Commentary by Alessandro Machi

Hi, I'm Bernie Sanders, I do whatever the heck I want as long as I keep promising free education, legalized pot, and reigning in Wall Street.

Bernie Sanders promised to reveal his May fundraising totals on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, also known as the day after the California Primary. As of 1:47 pm Eastern Standard time, no May fundraising announcement has been made.

However, I did find this on Yahoo. While the article states the total for both candidates through May of 2016, it does not state what the May total was for either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders.

It's Misogynistic to discount Hillary Clinton being voted Woman of the Year TWENTY TIMES, including FOURTEEN TIMES in a row.

If you are a Bernie Sanders supporter about to vote in California, ask yourself why you don't think it matters that Hillary Clinton has been voted Woman of the Year twenty times, including 14 in a row.

If a man had won Man of the Year lets say 10 times, and five in a row, would anyone be questioning their integrity the way many progressives and neo cons have of Hillary Clinton?  Obviously not.

Why the NPR radio host Terry Gross should have been kissing Hillary Clinton's shoes over Gay Marriage instead of attacking her.

This youtube video creates a gay / progressive fantasy world in which the Clinton's were the reason gay marriage didn't happen sooner. It is this type of demagoguery among the intellectual progressive gay elite that drives many moderate democrats, nuts.

What NPR host Terry Gross fails to grasp is that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" was the critical first step that eventually led to gay marriage. Instead of thanking the Clintons for "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", many gay elitists condemn "Don't Ask, Don't Tell". How can one deal with such elitist contempt among the progressive gay activist movement? They have screwed up history as they rewrite it.

When will gay activists take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for never putting forth the best, most logical argument for gay marriage, "What is the difference between a gay marriage and a heterosexual marriage in which no children are procreated?" The answer is there is no real difference.

So if the country allows heterosexual marriages among heterosexuals who either can't or won't have children, then they would need to give those same rights to gay marriages. This first gay marriage step could have been realized a decade before gay marriages were legalized, well before the plodding and confrontational manner in which the gay movement moved forward on gay marriage.

But in the gay activist world, they are always right, and the rest of society will never catch up to their keen insight, and so the Clintons are naturally on their radar in a hostile manner when "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" actually laid the foundation for Gay Marriage to materialize.

Bernie Sanders Fundraising Transparency suddenly disappears, won't reveal May fundraising until after June 7th.

DailyPUMA finds it hypocritical for Bernie Sanders to be a man of the people and be for transparency, and then change course and hide information because it doesn't serve his purpose. Bernie Sanders won't reveal his May fundraising numbers until after June 7, 2016. Isn't transparency what Sanders is fighting for?

California has turned into one strange contest. Hillary Clinton, allegedly full of money at 40 million dollars after a healthy May of fundraising, is spending less money than Bernie Sanders is on commercial advertising in California, even though Bernie Sanders is apparently running on financial fumes.

As DailyPUMA stated in the previous article, not spending money that was donated by the common folk who sacrificed to give that money, and depriving those Hillary Clinton supporters of the satisfaction of a very solid win in California will be disappointing if that is what ultimately happens.

Apparently it is possible that Bernie is ahead in the polls by one point, but not ahead amongst people who are actually going to vote on June 7. That's a new twist being put out by the media.

Either way, DailyPUMA sure wishes Hillary Clinton would release an AUTHENTIC California commercial, featuring Californians, before June 7.

Bernie Sanders outspends Hillary Clinton in California even though he is almost out of money and Hillary Clinton has 40 million dollars.

Over the past several months Hillary Clinton followers have been reminded via email that Bernie Sanders supporters were donating more money than Hillary Clinton supporters. Finally in May, Hillary Clinton apparently has out raised Bernie Sanders and the result is Hillary Clinton now has around 40 million dollars saved up whereas Bernie Sanders is apparently running on fumes.

Yet Hillary Clinton is being outspent by Bernie Sanders in California. As a Hillary Clinton supporter I am a bit disappointed that Hillary Clinton is ok with being outspent on commercial time in California and possibly either losing California to Bernie Sanders, or barely winning the state.

At some point, one would think Hillary Clinton would want to make her supporters happy, and making Hillary Clinton supporters happy would entail significantly outspending Bernie Sanders in California on ad buys AND campaigning in California with the express purpose of beating Bernie Sanders in California by a significant margin.

Otherwise, Hillary Clinton will expose her supporters to several months of unnecessary banter by Sanders supporters who will point to how Bernie had all the momentum over the final TWO months of the 2016 democrat race.

What matters more, having 42 million dollars saved up and either losing or having a very close race in California against Bernie Sanders, or having 39 million dollars saved up and winning by a nice, significant margin in California.

I have yet to see a Hillary Clinton commercial shown in California that was obviously shot in California about California and its people. California is something like the world's 7th or 8th largest economy, contains 12.5% of the U.S. population and 40% of the Gross Domestic Product, only Alaska and Texas are bigger size wise, and neither of those states offer the Mediterranean climate that California offers. Tell us how great we are Hillary, and spend some money in our state telling us how great we are.

Does Hillary Clinton think California is not worth fighting for now because its probably a slam dunk win for the democrats in the fall presidential race? That's all the more reason why Hillary Clinton should spend more money NOW, because she really won't have to spend that much in California for the Presidential election in November.

If Hillary Clinton values not spending money her POORER supporters have given her, in a way that sends a clear and powerful message that Bernie Sanders DID NOT have the momentum on June 7, 2016 and going forward, then maybe some of her POORER supporters may think twice about future donations.

"She didn't spend the money when she had it, why does she need more now?" Hillary Clinton needs to start thinking more about her supporters and less about Donald Trump.

Rachel Maddow doesn't understand latest Hillary Clinton Instagram commercial, so she puts on her Progressive holier than thou frock and keeps repeating over and over how obtuse she is, er, how obtuse the Clinton campaign must be for a joke she does not get.

Poor Rachel Maddow, salivating for an ultra progressive candidate, yet having to "settle" for Hillary Clinton. Maddow lambasts the latest Hillary Clinton ad, a very funny, REAL, ad.

I'll explain it for the progressives out there who think they get it, and don't. Two guys have been going around to all the non Sanders candidates events and getting in the background or even next to the other candidates to ridicule them in one way or another.

In the case of Hillary Clinton, they previously wore shirts that said they would "settle" for Hillary Clinton. A mendacious insult if ever there was one. This time around, the Clinton people CAUGHT THEM and said they had to leave, or they could stay if they took off their shirts.

So the joke is CLEARLY ON THESE TWO DOOFUSSES WHO STAYED at the Clinton rally, shirtless. They were then featured in the Hillary Clinton Instagram ad, and the ad is funny. But Rachel Maddow, who is just so much smarter than the rest of us she barely has time to interact with us commoners when she could be having more meaningful conversations with herself, just keeps repeating how obtuse the Clinton campaign is for not getting it, and she repeats it over and over and over and over again. Got Dementia, Rachel?

Um, the Clinton people get it Rachel. They totally get it, and they made fun of these guys in a nice way, and Hillary Clinton  came up with some nice, off the cuff moments. All of it went right over Maddow's head. It's embarrassing to watch her wax on and on and on, as if she's in on the joke, when she has become part of the joke for not getting it.

And once again, Clinton Derangement Syndrome at work. Now the Clinton campaign can't come up with anything clever unless a Progressive like Rachel Maddow approves of it. I hear one of Bernie Sanders demands is that all future Hillary Clinton commercials must have an "approved by a progressive" lead in or they can't be aired. (Whisper aside to Rachel Maddow, that was a joke).

What Donald Trump might say about Bernie Sanders rejoicing after Golden State Warriors 3 game comeback to defeat Oklahoma City and Bernie possibly winning California in the Democrat Primary.

What Donald Trump might say about Bernie Sanders after Bernie was seen rejoicing over the Golden State Warriors comeback conference championship series win against The Oklahoma Thunder.
"Can you believe this Sanders guy. The state of Oklahoma votes for him over Hillary Clinton, and he returns the favor by rejoicing when Golden State beats Oklahoma in the NBA conference finals. A back stabbing Socialist Peacnik celebrating the WARRIORS victory." "Nobody can twist the knife like Bernie can, I may have to hire him to help take out ISIS when I'm president."
"If Bernie is calling his chance for victory in California a comeback victory like the Warriors over Oklahoma, then clearly a California comeback is in play for the Republicans as well. Thank you Bernie for pointing that out."
"What's next Bernie, you just broke the collective hearts of the state of Oklahoma by cheering Golden State's victory over them, what about the state of Ohio, as in the Cleveland Cavaliers? Are you still rooting for Golden State to be beat Cleveland in the Finals? Oh, wait, Golden State will probably be the favorite, so does that mean you will switch your alliances AGAIN and root for the underdog Cleveland Cavaliers?"

The anchor calls Bernie Sanders attending Golden State's game seven playoff aligning himself with Golden State's comeback "political pandering", the exact phrase DailyPUMA used in a recent article.

Bernie "anti-fracking" Sanders continues to run a Slash and Bern race and in one news clip has actually given the Republicans fuel to use in three states, California and Ohio represent a total of 73 electoral college votes.

Bernie Sanders busts a move in California and why Hillary Clinton should care. Meanwhile Move on Dot Org email, Hillary Who?

(Friday May 27, 4:12pm update: Hillary Clinton ads did start appearing this morning. Yeah. However, I would strongly recommend an ad that is specific to California, California people, places and things, and it should be in color. Right after I posted this I saw a second Hillary Clinton ad, this one in color, about a young girl worried her parents are being deported. I hope there is one more coming where Californians see California in the ad, we're funny that way.)

DailyPUMA leaves a comment on Cannonfire about Bernie Sanders trying to finish with a lot of momentum by winning California and about half an hour later Move on dot org sends an email basically stating Bernie Sanders is trying to win strong on June 7th as a way to ensure the progressives dominate the democrat platform committee and agenda.

Move on Dot Org professes to now have a progressive majority on the Democrat 15 person committee and are encouraging members to help Bernie finish the remaining Democrat Primary races on a very high note to reinforce the concept of "Hillary who?".

Sanders has been on a whirlwind tour in California, hitting 3 or more locations a day while also running television ads strategically placed just before Memorial Day and probably through Memorial day weekend on all the local news broadcast stations in Los Angeles. I believe Bernie Sander's goal is to pack the 15 person democrat planning committee with a majority of progressives (which Move on Dot Org claims they now have) and basically bypass Hillary Clinton and the direction of the democrat party even if she is the nominee.

This is not the time for Hillary Clinton to be cobbling together money to use against Trump with the rationalization that Sanders is irrelevant. If Sander's wins California and does well in the other states on June 7th he will just become a bigger and bigger fly in the ointment and will give more fuel for Sanders followers to believe he was robbed even though he will still be a couple million votes behind in the popular vote.

Plus, if Sanders wins more pledged delegates on June 7th he gets to proclaim that he is the more popular candidate with growing momentum because it means Sanders won the last two months (May and June) of the democrat nomination season after losing the first four months (January, February, March, April). Sanders will probably be able to create a graph that shows he actually cut into the percentage of Hillary Clintons lead by a bigger and bigger margin with each passing month until he inevitably started actually winning the pledged delegate race once May hit, implying that he really is on a six month momentum bender.

In professional team sports, teams that have big leads but then barely cross the finish line ahead of their rivals usually don't win championships. A team wins championships by finishing the regular season strongly rather than ignoring their rivals because their rivals have too much of a gap to make up. Ignoring a rival as if they don't exist is a form of taunting, and fans don't like that, especially from the team being ignored/taunted. Yes, ignoring is a form of taunting.

If a baseball team is ahead of the second place team by 9 games with 10 games left to play in the season but then loses the final 10 games of the season and finishes just one game ahead at the end of the season, that's actually not a cause for a first place victory celebration.

Fans of the losing team don't like it when an opposing team knows they are going to win first place in their division even as they keep losing the individual games leading up to the playoffs. This is where being a woman who probably doesn't follow team sports hurts Hillary Clinton. She has a lead and is content with that lead, even if it keeps shrinking, as long as she wins. That's actually an unacceptable premise in both team sports, and in politics.

What does Hillary Clinton want, an extra 25 to 50 million dollars in her political coffers to battle Donald Trump, or soundly beating Bernie Sanders in California now? Let's not rationalize losing to Bernie Sanders by 10 points in California as being irrelevant if at the same time the California delegates Hillary Clinton does win puts her over the top for the democrat nomination, as it will truly be a pyrrhic victory. And Donald Trump will be all over it as well..."Talk about entitlement, she lost the last 10 of 15 democrat contests and she's the democrat nominee!…" "She went splat and her guts rolled over the finish line ahead of a hard charging Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton calls that a victory." Trump can wax on and on about how Hillary Clinton had to keep losing so she could win the nomination.

Hillary Clinton is probably being advised by former Barack Obama campaign people to "stall and ignore" like Barack Obama did near the end of the 2008 democrat campaign when he ignored Hillary Clinton and basically used the same speech day after day, that approach may backfire in 2016. I hope Hillary Clinton sees through this year's wall of male consulting incompetence better than she did in 2008 when  her political advisor told  her that California was a winner take all delegate state, and SPENDS SOME FUCKING MONEY in California on commercials, preferably starting this memorial day weekend.

Hillary Clinton not spending money with the local news channels means she is not ingratiating herself to them in terms of how they cover her California campaign activites. The local Los Angeles news reports are basically having a Bernie Love  fest which goes like this…"Bernie Sanders held rallies today in T,U,V,W,X,Y,Z locations"…."meanwhile Hillary Clinton held two fund raisers". The LA News reporting just sounds so crass and elitist, yet, apparently that is the truth. "Bernie is working his butt off" (AND paying the television news stations commercial advertising money), while "Hillary Clinton keeps fundraising" is the not so subliminal message I am witnessing.

I hope the Clinton campaign runs television commercials about why people like Hillary Clinton, not why Hillary Clinton wants to be president.

If Hillary Clinton limps to victory, she may be ceding too many progressives on the democrat platform committee and find her power usurped even if she is the nominee. Hillary Clinton may not convince a significant portion of the Sander's followers that Bernie Sanders was truly beaten if Bernie does better than Hillary Clinton on June 7, 2016 since we all know that Super Delegates ride around on winged unicorns trumpeting bad publicity about Bernie and good publicity about Hillary.

In the sports world, when fans truly believe their team was the best team and if they had just had a few more contests to play they would have caught and surpassed the leader, those types of supporters won't settle for supporting the team that barely beat them, even if winning team makes it to the Super Bowl or the World Series. The fans whose team finished second but in their hearts believe were the better team and just needed a few more games to play to prove it, may actually support the other league's playoff team out of spite or disgust rather than the team that they were still gaining on as the season ended.

Here is Move on Dot Org's "Hillary who?" email in which learn that the goal is to make Hillary Clinton and her ideas, irrelevant even if she is the nominee.

Dear MoveOn member,
Bernie Sanders won "unprecedented say over the Democratic Party platform" this week and named progressive powerhouses, including climate change author and visionary Bill McKibben and Congressional Progressive Caucus co-chair Keith Ellison, to the party's platform drafting committee.1
Progressives now hold a majority of seats on this committee, which will set the Democratic Party's policy platform for the next four years.2
Every vote and every delegate that Bernie wins will give Bernie's committee members more leverage to write the "strongest progressive agenda that any political party has ever seen” at the Democratic convention.3

Or click here to sign up and make calls from your home.
Democratic Party operatives typically appoint the 15-member drafting committee. But the strength of Bernie's political revolution forced party officials to the table to negotiate with Bernie’s campaign.
Bernie was able to appoint five members, who will be fighting for the Democratic Party to officially embrace a $15 minimum wage, break up big banks, ban fracking, and end our corrupt campaign finance system.
If Bernie wins big on June 7, his team will have the momentum and power to shape the Democratic Party platform for the next four years and beyond.

Hillary wins the 2016 Washington Democrat PRIMARY after Bernie Sanders won the Washington cacas er, caucus.

In  2016, Hillary Clinton, after losing both the 2016 Nebraska and Washington caucuses to Bernie Sanders, has actually won both the 2016 Nebraska Primary and the 2016 Washington Democrat Primary, lending further credence that Hillary Clinton is more popular than any other democrat candidate when voters have a primary to vote in versus a caucus to navigate.

Primary voting is the way that votes are cast for the actual presidential race in November, Caucuses are not.

Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, play the "Mommy Card".

If we take a step back, the "Donald Trump attacking Hillary Clinton regarding Bill Clinton" strategy is rather odd. The same Donald Trump who invented a new hue of facial red out of protective anger for his wife and retaliated by posting a picture of Ted Cruz's wife with melted lipstick next to a picture of his own trophy wife, attacks Hillary Clinton for protecting her man from attacks.

Is the pedantic Mr. Trump so obtuse that he can't see his own shadow regarding protecting his wife as being no different than Hillary Clinton protecting her husband? Is Donald Trump the pimp, who may have been associated with Trump Escorts, and who REGULARLY trades in his late 30 something wife for a 20 something replacement, that obtuse?

Donald Trump, a man, attacks Hillary Clinton, a woman, for standing by her man even though he did the same thing as Hillary Clinton. Trump thinks that another man's boorish behavior should determine whether Hillary Clinton is qualified for office. Does this mean if any of Donald Trump's former wives ALLEGEDLY did something unacceptable that Donald Trump would back out of the presidential race? What about any of Donald Trump's relatives, like his canned hunt killing sons?

Bernie Sanders, a Man, verbally assaults Hillary Clinton (she can take it, I get that) and financially assaults Debbie Wasserman Shultz. Hillary Clinton has  had to play the boys will be boys card while Ms. Schultz has also played the adult card and by granting that 5 of the 15 democrat platform committee members be selected by Bernie Sanders.

Why stop at spouses, what about son's and daughter's behavior, shouldn't that matter as well? What about Donald Trump's sissy sons engaging in the most cowardly act of all, canned hunts, aka shooting a SEDATED Lion at close range and then having the Lion's head imported into the United States?

If family behavior matters so much to Donald Trump, George Bush senior probably has the most baggage of all. His son's wife accidentally killed a former boyfriend when she drove through a stop sign and hit his car. George Bush Sr. was alleged to have had a very young protege who he took massages with. One masseuse mysteriously died not too long after giving Mr. Bush and his protege a massage just hours before the debate he won against Bill Clinton.

Mr. Bush's grand daughters have had numerous run ins with the law and behaved badly in public on numerous occasions and I think have been to rehab. When Mr. Trump brings up alleged crap about the Clintons, it simply becomes a gateway media stunt that gives opponents the opportunity to air dirty secrets about ANY prior Republican president and their families as well. The fact that Mr. Trump has no visionary skills to see beyond his nose is the fear factor many moderates have in this country.

While Donald Trump accuses Hillary Clinton of playing the woman card, Debbie Wasserman Schultz has had to play the adult card to a childishly bombastic Bernie Sanders. It's pretty evident to me that Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are playing the "Mommy Card" as they throw tantrums and accusations and false innuendo towards women politicians in an effort to get their way without caring about the consequences, and that indeed is playing the "Mommy Card".

Minnesota moves fast, Changes from Caucus to Primary for the 2020 Presidential Race, will keep caucuses for local races.

Minnesota has done the right thing. Seeing the overwhelming voter turnout for the 2016 Presidential caucus races, Minnesota will switch to a Presidential primary system for the 2020 Presidential race.

One assumes that both the Minnesota Republican Presidential Race and the Minnesota Democrat Presidential Race will be primaries. And, those voting in 2020 will have to declare as either supporting a republican or democrat party credo. That may drive Sanders supporters nuts.

Eventually I can can envision the Republican and Democrat parties splitting into two additional categories, Independent Democrat, Independent Republican. Presidential Candidates can register in one of the four categories and then the top Republican and top Democrat category vie for the presidency in November.

If this scenario had been in play this year, Trump would have been the Independent Republican candidate, Sanders the Independent Democrat Candidate. Based on vote totals, the fall presidential election would pit Independent Republican Donald Trump against Democrat Candidate Hillary Clinton.

Bernie Lost me when….

According to Daily News Bin, "Bernie Lost me when"….. is trending on twitter.

Although DailyPUMA was never a Sanders supporter, "Bernie Lost me when"…. I realized Bernie doesn't understand how Credit Card Debt actually works, used having unnecessary Credit Card to "carny" his followers into making them believe he had no wealth, his wife may have embezzled funds from the college she was president of, and Bernie had a knack for handsomely paying his close relatives and friends and hiding his wealth in his wive's IRS filings, which they never released.

Hillary Clinton wins her 22nd Primary, Bernie Sanders well behind with only 9 Primary Wins.

Many Clinton supporters realize that Bernie Sanders does better in the caucus contests because his supporters are younger, more aggressive, and are willing to put in the many hours it takes for a caucus to run its course.

Many Hillary Clinton Voters have other people in their lives who rely on them and can't afford to take all that time to travel extra distances for a "caucus", to caucus, and then to vote, in many instances with either not enough chairs, or no  chairs at all.

A primary contest allows these same Clinton Voters all day and more locations to fit in among their other responsibilities when they vote. For Clinton Supporters, Primaries cast a fairer reflection of how democrats vote. Closed Primaries an even fairer reflection.

Many Independent Voters are put into an oxymoronic situation of automatically voting anti-establishment, which makes the term "independent" rather an inaccurate term since many independents simply are looking for a third party candidate to vote for, they are equal parts protest votes and independent vote.

As of May 18, 2016, Hillary Clinton has won 22 Primaries, Bernie Sanders has won 9 primaries. However, Sanders has deluded his supporters by claiming that primaries are inaccurate representations because Independents can't vote for Sanders if they are registered Independent.

It appears that between Sanders and Trump there are actually more Independent voters than either Republican or Democrat voters, yet that is an oversimplification since the two candidates appear to be so far apart on many issues that what we probably have are independent democrat and independent republican. So the reality is the Republican party and the Democrat party still would probably finish top two in votes, with two independent factions finishing 3rd and 4th. Keep in mind that Trump was only around 40% of the Republican vote total for quite awhile and if he had run as an independent other republicans would have stayed in longer and kept Trump at 40% or lower of the total republican vs independent republican vote totals.

So when voters have all day to vote but don't have to take all day to vote, aka a Primary, Hillary Clinton is clearly the more popular candidate than Bernie Sanders, and she is doing it while spending less money than Bernie Sanders has month after month after month.
