Alessandro,

I am unbelievably happy today after nearly five weeks- I believe Louisa finally responded to a directive I gave her today. I have been working on teaching her to lift her hand to her face and to show me two fingers. Today she did both on command.

It still takes a great deal of time for her to follow that directive so the doctors still do not believe she is responding to me, however, damned them I am now so specific they can not convince me that these two fingers and reaching up toward touching her face are just coincidental movements - no – they can deter me from claiming some of the other movements but not these -- no these are specific movements she is doing that I specifically taught her to do and she is doing them as directed. I am sure of it.

Whether they want to admit it to me or not – no sooner I started to show them the proof they are not admitting to as positive proof– they moved her to a lower care floor and after yesterdays’ and today’s activity with the two fingers- well we are off to Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation! Woo Hoo! Now that’s what I’m talking about!

They are moving Louisa to http://www.kessler-rehab.com/programs/brain-injury-rehab/- probably in the middle of next week.

Amazing!

But, a Mother knows her child best. Not surprising the doctors are deferring to BJK.

Best Wishes, Betty Jean!
