Mother Shot in the Face by Lodi Man, Media Outrage is Subdued because she was a Mother and Business Owner and NOT a BusinessMAN in a Suit.

PLEASE LEAVE A RESPONSE POST AT Lodi man accused of shooting sister in law. The assailant only got three months on a prior charge against this same family, that is just wrong.

Yes, Louisa Rodas is a business owner APONDPLACE.com, and a mom. But Louisa Rodas was not a businessman in a suit, and the media seems to treat the shot gun shooting with less importance because Louisa Rodas wasn't a man in a suit who was shot.

This is terribly tragic. But it's a local story and a domestic crime, so I'm not surprised it's not leading the national news.

This seems to be a family thing, rather than evidence of a gender/class conspiracy.

Prayers for Louisa and her family, but let's not make this worse by exploiting these poor people to stoke some fantasy male vs. female political agenda.

Hey, I am making responder posts to the articles, but I have a question. On "Topix"...how did you get it so you just have your location as "United States" and not county and state?

The Topix thing is kind of weird. The topics get categorized in several different ways. Topix literally has millions of topics cross listed in thousands of ways.

So the same topic could appear in Hackensack New Jersey News, plus United States, Plus under Police Blotter, Lodi, all at the same time.

I think the entire PUMA community should be in an uproar over the assault on two sisters by the same man. I can't stomach seeing a couple of the PUMA blogs go on and on about Jon Favreau without even mentioning what happened to Louisa at least once.

Lets be clear here, I'm not saying don't write about Favreau, but to write about Favreau without ever writing even one article about Lousia is defying what it means to be a PUMA.

If one can get upset about a cardboard cutout while actually ignoring the shotgun maiming of an innocent woman from an assailant that had already assaulted her sister, THEY ARE THE ONES that are the publicity seekers by going for the more well known stories while ignoring the less known stories involving their own clan.

Assuming it is true that the assailant, recently out of jail, showed up with a shotgun, and has now terrorized and physically injured TWO DAUGHTERS from the same family, that actually puts this story above just a local news story, especially when it was known he might do this.

Nonetheless, If ALL PUMA BLOGS don't report on this story, then why should the media? Yet if PUMA blogs continue to write about Jon Favreau WITHOUT even mentioning Louisa even once, what kind of a statement is that?

It sends a message that PUMA's will look elsewhere for the bigger story and never see their own lives as being equally as important.
